100 miler

100 mi. This was an early 4am start with Charlotte, Walter and I. We were in the dark most of the way to the turnaround at Cumberland Farms, Ft. Pierce.  The road we took to get there was nice, north of the Hutchinson Island bridges it was right along the Intracoastal waterway. Walter turned back at 36 mi., Charlotte & I went to the turnaround and sent sms messages to Stanton, Chiara and Walter. It was a quick bathroom break, water and Clif bar stop and we were back on the wheels heading south.  Thankfully no big winds either way, but we did get a good dose of sun and heat. We stopped every 25 mi., Sandsprit Park both ways and the half turnaround point. Our average speed was 17.7mph.  When we returned, I quickly drove home and hung around while John did school work projects on the computer.  This was a good ride, we never went too fast and had good nutrition alomg the way.
