5 mi. Today’s visit to the track was so I could do my first run after the marathon. I didn’t intend to go fast, just do all of the intervals and stretch out my legs. It worked, because I didn’t feel achy or fatigued after the workout or for the rest of the day. Here’s what we did…
1 mi warmup jog
2 x 100m striders, only 100m recovery
800m w/200m recovery

I ran with Walter for most of the session, he’ll be going to Paris next week and also doing the Semi Marathon de Paris next Sunday. We spoke about that, some things at work and a bit with John reback about weight training, of which he does none. He swims and does 3 sets of 15 shoulder pull ups. Nice to know… I can do 7 of these with reliability. Gotta step that up. I won’t run Saturday, I have things to take John to. Sunday I’d like to ride unless it’s going to be cold out. My legs can use the rest from running, so that’s fine with me.
