Best attendance ever!

4.5 mi Did I know today would be the 32 runners showed up for track workout day? Or that we’d sing “Happy Birthday” to Paul? Or he’d dole out a mile for time? None of the above.

Today’s intervals were:

1 mile warmup

400m w/200m recovery
200m w/200m recovery
200m w/200m recovery
600m w/200m recovery
800m w/200m recovery
800m w/200m recovery
1600m for time w/200m recovery
400m w/200m recovery
200m w/200m recovery
200m w/200m recovery

I did 2 laps or .5 mi cooldown.

Jon, Charlotte, Scott, Carolyn Stone and plenty of others were there.  Tom Matese brought his quick 14 year old son who most of the morning ran right near me.  Since I ran slow the last two Thursdays, I wanted to get back to usual speeds today. I felt like we were going very fast, but Erica said she was too, and noticed we were going fast on all the intervals. She said the 600m dash was the fastest she has ever run that time, which made me feel better, because I thought I was gassed for no reason. I ran with her for the mile, which we did in 5:59. Glad I went, I felt it in the lungs, a little on the thighs, but mostly abs. I have to keep up the speed…
