Listening to the obvious

No running while injured. That’s what a stiff and sometimes twinge-ing left calf muscle says. I am not silly whereby I’ll try to get back too soon, I have done nothing for 5 days. At lunch I can swim, that won’t annoy the legs. The upside will come as I creatively find different ways to stay active. Walking is easier and now I don’t favor the good leg or limp. I might be able to ride a bike if the seat was lower than usual.  That would have my upper legs pushing and my extension limited – a safe prognosis for the affected area. With nothing on my schedule before November, I’ll have the willpower to leave the healing process alone and strengthen other things in the downtime.
