Keep kicking

2000 yards. How is it that I can run 30 miles, ride all day, but kick so poorly in the water? Today I did about 200 yards of kicking. What silliness! A very good swimming girl was next to me, her whole leg from the hip moved rapidly when she kicks. For me, it feels like my toes flutter and barely make a splash. My groin feels tight when I kick using the board, and I move so slowly that if I don’t use the bid old fashioned tombstone kickboard, I’ll sink! More kicking required each swim, I guess I have to smother myself with what I don’t like in order to be good at it sometime in the future.  I did 500 free, 200 breast, 200 kickboard, then the rest freestyle. Weather was perfect, 83 degrees.  I had to use sunscreen.
