
19mi. Those are my eyes, riding in the dark, looking for old fender parts, manhole covers, reflectors and such. They are riveted to the road in front of me! I chose a new route today, not wanting to do the same Singer Island loop. It was a good first exposure to this ride, I didn’t encounter any traffic or traffic lights, so it went very smooth. My average speed was 21.3, I was surprised I was faster than Tuesday. When it’s that dark, I don’t get to glance at the speedometer as often. Maybe this is a good thing! I don’t think I drank enough water, I was thirsty to start and during the ride. The northernmost segment at Donald Ross Rd and I95 was the most dangerous, the traffic signals always seem to favor those cars turning onto the highway and those getting off. New construction in the area also means it’s ripe for road debris. So I know…
