As slow a shuffle as shuffle is.

6 mi. A tune up run for the first time in a month. I ran my boring neighborhood route in 10 minute miles to see what my calf muscle feels like.  I felt it different at mile 1. Tighter at mile 2. Very tight up & down my leg at mile 3, but not pain that would have me consider stopping.  At mile 4 I walked and stretched in a cul de sac, still tight. At mile 5, less of everything, not as tight and feeling good. Finishing was reassuring that I haven’t tried to come back too soon.  The latter part of the day had me feeling off for that leg like it was about 5 days after the injury.  I am stretching and concentrating on healing it correctly.  It was a slow but successful run.  I won’t do any running this weekend, I’ll wait for next Tuesday and go very slow at the bridge.
