50 mi. Austin, Chiara and Suzanne signed on for a ride to Sandsprit and back. We discussed Chiara’s hangover and near miss on making the ride altogether. As a group, we stayed at 20-21mph for the ride up to the turnaround. On the way back, Suzanne decided to do “pickups” starting at Bridge Rd. I didn’t notice her breakaway, but once I did I tild Austin we had to catch her. It was very challenging, my legs were more the culprit vs my lungs, an unusual happening. I was glad we did the ride, glad we went hard at the end and very happy that yesterday’s run didn’t goof me up at all for the ride. I need to get back into a rhythm of waking early, exercising and working off the increased appetite I seem to have grown. This definitely took care of it for day #2 in a row…
