7 mi. I usually run the bridges on Tuesday, but knowing I have to be hard legged on hills in three weeks. There are no people out that early near Phil Foster park, except for the homeless dudes that live under the bridge and the one lady that sleeps on the sidewalk and serves as a hurdle for runners. I did 1/2 mile warmup, 6 miles of hills slowly, and 1/2 mile cooldown. I really tried to put my head into thinking about how I’ll feel in the woods, mostly alone, using the aid stations, what I will carry with me, etc. I will do well in my ultra debut, I have the fitness and the curiosity about myself to make this successful.
