Laneless track

5 mi  With a new surface, Benjamin HS track still doesn’t have all the air bubbles out of the track nor does it have lane lines painted yet. It is a great place to run, and those little details don’t stop some of the north county’s best runners from their Thursday workouts with Coach Paul. Today I rekindled my track running, first time in 3-4 weeks. I knew not to go too fast and disrupt something like an Achilles tendon, so near but not with Erica was my effort level. Good feeling, and it was HOT!

1 mi warmup jog (spent talking with Walter)

1 mi cooldown jog.

Although a good idea, my “run the cooldown barefoot on the grass” idea is not going to happen for awhile with the resurfacing project in progress.
