It takes longer somedays

8 mi. One of those days when John is sleeping at home so I know I need to run, not chatter at the end, and get home and ready for school. I ran the warmup lap #1 with Teresa. She saw Missy parking just before 5am and decided to go right to the bridge after that, leaving me solo for the second warmup lap. And all the rest of the morning’s laps on the bridge and cooldown. I ran a moderate pace, but always found myself thinking how long each bridge lap took. I was surprised this was my focus. Today I found it was cooler running west. Only 7 other people out there when I was running, people must have extended their workouts during the three day weekend and decided to skip this one. I sweat completely through my shorts – so I took them off for the drive home. No idea how I could have handled being pulled over, but the shorts were better on the carpet floor than saturating the seats.
