2000 yards. I can say will all certainty that this was one of my better solo swim workouts! I was in a great frame of mind, I hopped right in and started moving down the lane at a nice pace. I saw my benchmark older lady endurance swimmer in the next lane, she was not near my pace. I was intermittently checking my length of stroke, swivel to the side and breathing. I think my outlook on swimming is changing. It is an athletic endeavor when done correctly, I am an athlete, so add it up. I should be improving. let this be the first of many. I was thinking how nice it would be to incorporate some open water swimming – now in a wetsuit. Maybe on the weekend?
