Don’t leave it on the track

4 mi. After a mile of warmup, we started as a small group on intervals in the dark. All of the school’s parking lot lights were off, with some cones blocking off parking spots, too. Maybe some maintenance or repairs in order?

I guess with Classics by the Sea we had a slower group than usual. My chest is congested and I felt tougher breathing. Maybe I can shed this by Saturday am. Just as well, Paul said before we started, “Most of us are racing, don’t leave it all on the track here today.”  I’m not sure if he was kidding or making fun of those that over-prepare and taper for smaller races.
