7mi. It isn’t often I can get a totally new person to show up at the bridge, do the whole workout, like it, and say he will be back! Barry Green, now enrolled in this year’s Boston Marathon is that guy. He asked about it on Facebook messaging, so I let him in on my schedule. He drove in right on time for a 5:00am start – impressive! More? He finished all of the laps, even tho I skipped one to visit the men’s room. He is originally from Boston and wants to do well in the race he has watched many times from the sidelines. We chatted about the bridge run, the people I introduced him to, and the details of a Boston visit. Food, neighborhoods and the history of the race. Only a few others in attendance, Gary, Adrienne, Lilia, Paul, Lanae, Matt K. and two others I didn’t know.
Good showing and a nice breeze made Barry’s first time a winner!
