4 mi. Paul wasn’t at the workout today, but plenty of people were. It’s Rosh Hashanah, so schools are closed. Dave Reback brought a handful of girls, Eileen Turenne and about 5 more fast guys showed up. Is this how things work? People that don’t usually show up to run track come out when they have a day off and could be sleeping late? Not an issue for me, my struggle is wondering if I will swim after this. Today Perry doled out the intervals, including a mile for time which I landed in 5:58 as told by the guy who finsihed one second behind me. I felt good, but not “go get it” good. Thinking that John ran a 5:32 mile in the blazing sun, very tough this morning for me. It was 85 degrees when I arrived at 5:15am, that is the warmest I’ve ever seen before a South Florida workout. Which went like this…
1 mile warmup, very warmup, no breeze and 85 degrees!
600m w/200m recovery
800m w/200m recovery
400m w/200m recovery
200m w/200m recovery
1600m w/200m recovery
200m w/200m recovery
400m w/200m recovery
600m w/200m recovery
A quick and sweaty ride home – I would really enjoy doing more timed miles. They test you but I like the results!
