Cooler for a bit longer
I haven’t been here in a few weeks, I am first to the Blue Heron Bridge run at just before 5am. I ran some hills in Denver, but not enough times to say,”I trained while away.” Two parking lot laps and I’m on the bridge. Eating at Moe’s last night always puts pressure on my ability to finish the workout before dashing to the men’s room and hoping it’s open. I made the 6 miles in nice 68 degree temps – a surprise for April 1st! A few others ran on the sidewalk, Paul and Steve were with me in the road. Steve takes his run seriously, spending lap #1 with me and then pushing a faster pace for his next few trips over the hill. He explained how he won a 15k in Tampa overall with a 6 min mile pace. Yup. Faster than I’ll be training!
