Less sleepers, more humidity

sleeping7mi. I only did a 1/2 mile warmup and cooldown, no one seems to start or finish when I do so I clip off early.

Arriving at the Blue Heron Bridge today, I see fewer cars for the new crop of people who sleep in the park. I don’t know why, maybe a more forceful police presence, but the lot where all the runners park is now almost clear of the “sleepers.”

I ran with Walter mostly, Teresa and Missy and Janet had a quicker pace starting right with the first lap. IT is very still with hardly a breeze when we run. No sprints for me today, I have noticed a soreness on the back of my hip. It coincides with my efforts to take a shorter stride and land with more of a midfoot strike. I will try to stretch and Compex treat that area. The change and shortening of stride is supposed to make me more efficient, not injured!
