Is there a better day to run?

6mi. Today I woke up and met Teresa, Kathy, Janet and Missy for a run in Abacoa.

With all the preparations done for the storm, I feel like all I can do is wait for my power to go out! I wanted something to do before retreating to the dark house for the day.

We ran on dark Military Trail, dark Indian Creek Parkway, and then into the smaller but well-lit neighborhoods of Abacoa. We had two water stops, well timed I’d say. Kathy and Janet left us at near 2 1/2 miles to get home and go to work. We kept going, running by the elementary school and Roger Dean Stadium. We finished with about 6.1 miles, and decided to keep in touch in case we wanted to meet with each other while the weather was still good.

Hurricane Matthew is expected to hit around dinner time and last through tomorrow morning. We’ll see!
