6 mi. After flying PBI-> ATL ->Norfolk, Va, I went on a tour of the USS Wisconsin battleship. Then I drove to the Virginia Beach boardwalk for the 6 mile run on my schedule for today.
I haven’t been here since coming on a family vacation with my parents in 1982. I think I found the hotel we stayed at for the week we were here…
I ran on the boardwalk, which is not wood, it’s all paved concrete. There were many others riding bikes, using pedal cars and walking. Some of the route was in the shade of the hotels, since my run started after 5pm. I saw two Navy FA-18 jets training, not a sight I get in Florida. My Avg pace was right at 8:03 where it was supposed to be.
