2000 yards. The LA Fitness Okee pool is dark to begin with, put me in there alone for 40 minutes of laps and it's boring. I did mix in some good breathing and speed though.... Warmup Set (400y) 4 x [25 easy @ 0:10 rest, 50 build @ 0:10 rest, 25 moderate-hard @ 0:10 rest] … Continue reading All alone in the dark

2000 yards. I felt good, especially trying to time my starts and finishes on the 25m course with a guy in the lane next to me. I think about the Nautica South Beach tri while I swim. I should review the course and know where I'm going vs. my imagination. Warmup Set (200y) 4 x … Continue reading In a good groove
8mi. Daylight savings now keeps it dark the whole run. I had Charlotte as some company and a few others came to play in cool 67 deg weather. I'll be begging for this in a month!
30 mi. I rode from home to the Jupiter Inlet to get some cycling in. It was nice and cool, mid 60s, plus not much of a breeze to contend with. I was glad to do some riding on the new Vittoria training tires.
4mi. No cooldown, John is at home. Erica leads the workout, trying to not be predictable. She starst with a 1000m, and ends long, too. I will predict that under her guide, we will never run a 100m or a mile. Just a thought....
4mi. I ran well in breezy 72 degree weather at the track today. I learned Gary and Perry are Boston bound, Missy and Teresa are already on schedule to race April 18th. I ran the warmup with Erica who may want to ride Saturday since she is racing Sunday. I noticed only 16 runners today, … Continue reading Getting sprite so soon?
8 mi. Really I did 6 miles on the sidewalk, with a warmup mile and cool down mile to make 8 for the workout. It was 68 degrees at the start, with a nice cooler breeze from the west. One lane of car traffic was limited in each direction, so now we have less to … Continue reading 8 on the sidewalk
5 mi. I knew I wasn't going to go hard, but people keep asking why I'm here. It's good to hear congratulations from friends on the A1A marathon. Most do only the half and many did PR best performances Sunday morning. 1 mi warmup jog 200m w/100m recovery 400m w/200m receovery 300m w/100m recovery 500m … Continue reading Even when I shouldn’t
29mi. This morning Charlotte debuted her fast new Transition Expert. It is white and carbon, a very nice scheme of color for the Specialized 2011 models. Chiara came with her new wheels, and uniform, too. We went to Bridge Road and back, not with a group but joined by a guy we've ridden with before, … Continue reading New bikes abound.
10.5mi. I ran the regular Saturday loop with Charlotte. We we in a slow pace right from the beginning, and we kept it the whole way, arriving back at the store at 7:50. Linda gave me a mention before the run for A1A results, as did a few people that knew or saw it in … Continue reading Getting the shout out
