20mi. I did the timed Singer Island course today, slower than I should have. 20.7 avg speed, in great conditions, a mild breeze from the North and cool 73 temps.

8 mi. I ran my warmup and first lap solo, then laps 2-5 with Kyle Smith. We spoke about his experience in his first Chicago marathon, besting his previous PR of 3:40 something to a 3:19. I did the final lap almost alone as a larger group of guys led the way over the top … Continue reading Chicago review
4 mi. I did the warmup, slower than most - I think people are training to see how fast they can do that jog mile! Our intervals today were mathematically figured out by Perry. He caught on to the ascending long intervals separated by the descending short 100s. 1 mi warmup 4 x 100m with … Continue reading Short runs and it was humid and still again…
7.5 mi. A warmup mile, a lap solo, then 5 more with Scott. Then temps were ow 70s, there was much less humidity and I ran well up and down, keeping my fastest pace for the last two laps. My men's room visit cost me the final lap of cooldown. This is an abbreviated week … Continue reading Hills are better in the cool weather
100mi This ride was done with Charlotte in better conditions than the September century. It was 72 degrees and a 6-7mph breeze from the N-NE, which was not a problem going there in the dark. On the way up, Charlotte's from light fell off the front of her bars, she did have a second one. … Continue reading Another 100 for the cause
31mi. This was my ultra distance training run that will suffice as a long run for the MiamiMan Tri. It is NOT on any training plan that I've heard of, but 5.5 hrs on any course prying against the body's creakiness is good training for the race. Charlotte said she hadn't done a long run … Continue reading Long run in a long time!
4 mi. I was feeling the effects of a very long run Saturday when it came time to go fast. I think I was quick on maybe three of the intervals, the rest I stayed respectably behind Erica. LIke 100m behind her. The weather was 71 degrees and it was breezy, nice feeling when we … Continue reading Cooling off!
8 mi. I ran today with John Reback, all six laps spent talking about current events, local real estate, joking around and of course triathlon. It was nice to hear how his sister will try to qualify for our Olympic Team in London 2012. My pace was good and I enjoyed getting to listen to … Continue reading 6 laps to learn
30 mi. Today's ride was a recovery form the long run, I went to Bridge Rd with Charlotte and then once on Jupiter Island, the 6:30 group. Coming back we rode with Dave Capparelli and 3 of his friends, that was a good pace until a 60+ yr old guy pulled the group at 24mph. … Continue reading Still fun to spin
12.5 miles I arrived at the Running Sports Store at 6am. This is later for me, I had planned on running the 10.5 miles solo before the next day's triathlon. I started alone and ran with a guy I have seen before at the track workout, light skin and fast. I made it to the … Continue reading Short Saturday
